30. Dog Days

Each evening when I get home from work Gus (shown here) and Dino go nuts until I take them outside. They love play time just like any dog should. It's funny how much Gus takes advantage of play time compared to Dino. Gus will play non-stop, fetching and returning his favorite football until I tell him its time to clean up. Dino on the other hand is happy to chew on sticks, roll around in the grass and terrorize Gus by chewing on his legs from time to time. I think some of it has to do with the fact that we had Gus first and playing ball is all he knows. I sometimes wonder if Dino would play as hard as Gus if we would have gotten him first. Anyways, after play time is dinner time and Gus is normally drooling like a leaky faucet at this point. They both know they can't eat until I give them the 'go ahead'. Gus had to wait a few extra moments this evening while I broke out the wide angle to capture him in position to chow down.

36. Animals

Chase and I love playing soccer in the backyard and the dogs love it too. Needless to say they are all-time-defense. They know not to bite the ball and run around with their toys in their mouths as we kick ours around. They are always so tired out after play time and I spotted them snuggling together yesterday afternoon as we were eating lunch. I quickly got my camera and fired off a few shots.
